Your garden, your choices

Moonlit GardenPrivacy policy

Updated October 1, 2026 · Native Android app

Moonlit Garden is published by Green Table Software. Puzzle play works offline, without an in-game account and with optional gameplay sharing disabled. Advertising and purchasing services have separate data practices described below.

Local progress and daily gardens

Progress, preferences, unfinished attempts, walkthrough-seen and ambience choices, paid hint stages, lantern balances, daily earning and replay-reward limits, daily puzzle results and streaks are saved on your device. Daily selection, the 25-lantern earning cap and streaks use the device's local calendar; they are not an online account or leaderboard. We do not operate a cloud-save service. The current Android export disables automatic app-data backup. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove puzzle progress. Purchase restoration does not restore puzzle progress or transfer progress between the browser game and Android.

Advertising and advertising choices

Android builds integrate Google AdMob through Google's Mobile Ads SDK and use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising privacy choices where applicable. Current beta builds use Google's test ad identifiers. An interstitial may appear at a result break after every third completed attempt, including wins and losses; abandoned attempts do not count. An unavailable ad does not prevent play. No banner or rewarded advertising is implemented.

Google's advertising services may process IP/network information, approximate location inferred from that information, advertising or other device/account identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information, depending on the SDK configuration and applicable choices. These practices are separate from the optional counters below. Advertising can involve processing even with gameplay sharing off or without personalized ads. See Google's privacy policy and Google's advertising information.

Where required, advertising choices are presented through UMP. Settings exposes Advertising privacy choices when Google's platform requires that entry point. Device advertising-ID controls and Google's settings provide additional choices. A recognized Remove ads purchase prevents further ad requests and display by the app; it does not erase provider records already collected or change optional gameplay sharing.

Purchases and restoration

Android builds with purchasing enabled offer one non-consumable Remove ads purchase through Google Play, with the localized price shown before purchase. There is no subscription. Billing is disabled in beta builds that lack the required Play configuration. Google Play handles payment and applicable refunds; the app does not receive payment-card details.

The app reads product and purchase state through Play Billing, verifies Google's purchase signature, acknowledges completed purchases and restores ownership through the purchasing Play account. Pending payments do not grant ownership. Signed receipt/signature data, which can include purchase or order identifiers, is cached in app-private Android storage to retain verified ownership offline. Store checks reconcile ownership changes. We have no separate purchase-verification server, and receipts are not sent to the gameplay-counter collector. Google controls retention of its transaction records under its own policies.

Optional gameplay statistics

Sharing is off by default. If you choose “Share statistics”, the app sends small batches of counters to Green Table Software through Cloudflare over HTTPS. These count levels first reached after opting in, attempts started, completed, failed or restarted, lantern-funded hints consumed (and legacy free-hint counters from older builds), completions with hints, stars earned, and completion times grouped into broad ranges. Each batch includes the campaign version, platform (Android, iOS or desktop), a UTC calendar day, and a temporary random delivery token. We store the counters as weekly totals to improve level balance and hints.

We do not include your name, email, account, advertising ID, persistent player or device ID, location, exact event times, device model, saved boards, moves, or session recordings in these statistics. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or link it across other companies' apps. There is no advertising or third-party analytics SDK in this feature.

Hosting and network information

Cloudflare processes requests on our behalf. Network requests necessarily expose connection information, including your IP address, to Cloudflare. Our collector does not read IP addresses, derive locations, or save request bodies, IP addresses or user agents in the analytics database. Worker request logs, traces and Logpush are disabled. Cloudflare may separately process operational and security information under its service terms; disabling our logs does not disable every provider-level record. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Retention and your choices

Open Settings and turn off “Share gameplay statistics” at any time. This stops new collection, cancels pending uploads where possible and clears unsent counters. A request already delivered cannot be recalled. Local queued counters expire after seven days; delivery-token records expire after their retry window (up to nine calendar days including daily cleanup). Weekly totals are removed after approximately 13 months. Managed database recovery copies can retain deleted records for an additional provider-controlled backup window.

After counters have been merged into totals, we cannot identify or remove a particular person's contribution. We keep no player profile to look up. A local list of levels already counted prevents repeated first-reach counts while sharing remains enabled; turning sharing off clears this list. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove local settings and progress. The current Android export disables automatic app-data backup.

Children and families

Moonlit Garden is a general-audience puzzle game and is not specifically designed or marketed for children. We do not request ages, contact details or in-game accounts from players. Sharing gameplay statistics is optional. Advertising services are separate; leaving gameplay sharing disabled does not disable their processing. Contact us with questions about a child's use of the app. The current app does not include an age gate or ask players to provide dates of birth.

Contact and changes

If you email us, we receive your address and the contents of your message to respond; support correspondence is separate from game statistics. We update this page when practices change and request a new choice before materially expanding optional collection.
